Being Creative #1

What is your best asset?

I only heard this question once but it kept on repeating itself on my head many times.

What is really my best asset? You see. It repeats again.

When a person answers this question easily and directly, it means that he knows himself very well and I envy that kind of person. Honestly, I don't really know myself very well because I change all the time. I also need the opinion of others for who I really am. After days of realizing, thinking, and surveying about what is really my best asset, I can now breathe easily because I came up with an appropriate answer for this never ending question on my mind.

*breaths deeply*
Here it is! And my best asset is my---CREATIVITY!

Finally, when somebody asked me about my best asset, I could quickly answer. I'm happy for the fact that I actually have a best asset and I'm proud of that. Like every person in the world has his/her own best asset and I'm happy that I found mine. And it's actually my talent, that's why I consider it as my best asset even though it's not like my physical attributes, it's just my talent that no one could take it away from me.

MY CREATIVITY--- is my best asset.
Why?
Simple. Because it's my talent/skill that I value since I was born, it is something worth appreciating for and last but not the least, it is UNIQUE. Not every person in the world has this kind of ability and I'm proud that I have it. Like, its a rare gift given to me and I'm the only one who could use it and even develop it for the better.

CREATIVITY once again-- I'm creative! Yes, I actually am. But it's not like what you've thinking, I'm not creative in many different ways. What I mean is, I'm just creative in terms of one field and it's art, especially drawing and sketching. It first began when I was like a five-year-old child, that I actually draw everything I saw on the television. I draw cartoons and stuffs and even colored it. My mother was the first who notice this kind of ability and she was so mesmerized on how a five-year-old kid can draw. *Laughs* No. I'm not joking and its true. After years passed, I stumbled on painting. Even my elementary teachers told me to join a drawing contest and as far as I remember, I won the contest without even earning a sweat. Don't get me wrong, I'm not boasting. Actually, I'm not really good, as in, super master of being creative, you could see it in my room. Haha. But what I like the most even though I'm not really good at being creative is that I put an extra effort into it and I will nurture and develop it until I become older. Who knows, maybe I could become a famous person because of this asset I have. Or should I say this BEST ASSET I have.

True art is characterized
by an irresistible urge
in the creative artist.
